Did you know that so far 97% of participants have rated the Teacher Academy online courses positively? Whether you are a novice or an experienced online learner, find out what the Teacher Academy offers in 2018 in its five new online courses, with the first one focused on museum learning and launching on 19 March.

Europe has over 10,000 museums, which are among the most frequently visited facilities around the globe. Modern museums have evolved into community centres for intellectual development, and technological developments have enabled them to provide better access to their collections and enhance the visitors’ experience. These museums are full of information and a great opportunity for educators to facilitate learning.

The first Teacher Academy MOOC of 2018 introduces teachers to the concept of museum learning and uncovers how museums can be used as educational tools, communities and learning spaces. Learn how to set the stage, create strategies and active tasks, and develop the right competences for museum learning. Course enrolment is open here!

The course is the first in a series of five this year; the Teacher Academy’s Pedagogical Advisory Board has also approved the following:

  • First years of teaching (starting in May)
  • Language learning (starting in September)
  • Special needs in the classroom (starting in October)

Additionally, a special course will be dedicated to an introduction to eTwinning (starting in November).

You can see a summary of the upcoming courses here. More detailed information on the MOOCs will be announced on the eTwinning and Erasmus+ social media channels in due course.
