Introduction to the Finnish Education Model - Helsinki

I've partecipated to Finnish educational system course in Helsinki. I found it strongly focused on collaborative learning aspects. I gain more motivation to apply in my current job, having new ideas to apply every day (having in mind the differences between my country anf Finland). During this course,I better understood this style of teaching, in particuler the focus on practical methods. I was very happy to have the opportunity to visit a school in Helsinki.

My course was based on the knowledge of the Finnish system of education. We also had the opportunity To visit a finnish high school located in Helsinki. My experience with the course provider was positive: the teacher was very professional and she gave us interesting tips for our future teaching at school

The course gave an introduction of the Finnish Education System. It covered the See the Good initiative, positive pedagogy and student centred, project-based learning. Our course provider enabled us to experience Oodi Library in Helsinki, showed us useful Apps and made sure there were a lot of hands-on activities. We were also given a lot of cultural and historical background information. The course was a reminder of what it means to be a dedicated teacher. It was a refresher course in inspiration, so to speak. It is true that Finland does not do magic when it comes to education, but the students are given a lot of self-determination and self-responsibility.

I am very satisfied with the course. I could know the keys of Finish Education System, their methodologys, resources and structure. I believe that this kind of courses are very positivo to exchange experiences between teachers of different countries. Morevore, it allows to improve the professional skills like teachers.

I have attended the course : Introduction to the Finish Education System in Helsinki, provided by the host organisation Europass Teacher Training Academy. I was very satisfied with the trainer who gave us an overall view of finish educatonal system as well as insights over positive education and ICT applications used in finish classrooms. Phenomenon based learning and lesson planning were introdused as methodologies applied by finish teachers.

Introduction to the Finnish Education System in Helsinki. Provider was Europass Teacher Training Academy. The course had a very good structure and an excellent trainer. We were given information about the Finnish educational system, Also there where workshops and activities regarding positive education in Finland, ICT applications in the classroom, phenomenon based learning and lesson planning.

Die Mischung des Kurses aus Vertretern von 6 Ländern war sehr gut. Zunächst konnte ich dadurch eine Menge Informationen über die Besonderheiten der Bildungssysteme in den jeweiligen Ländern erfahren. Der Kurs fand fast ausschließlich in einem kleinen Kursraum mit Maskenpflicht und ohne der Möglichkeit zu lüften statt. Die Lektorin hatte ein sehr abwechslungsreiches und interessantes Programm zusammengestellt. Wir haben sehr Vieles über das finnische Schulsystem erfahren. Besonders interessant waren die Ausführungen zur Nutzung digitaler Tools und Aspekte der fächerübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit. Einige Tools testeten wir dann auch in Gruppen aus.Die Teamarbeit in gemischten Gruppen war sehr interessant und inhaltsreich. Insgesamt konnte ich viele Ideen mitnehmen, um im Schulalltag neue Ansätze zu finden.

Entsprechend des angekündigten Kursinhaltes haben wir uns in den Kursen mit dem finnischen Bildungssystem und einigen nachahmenswerten Methoden beschäftigt und deren Anwendung teilweise erprobt. Die Bewerbung, die Vorinformationen und die Kontaktaufnahme durch die Kursanbieter und die Kursleiterin einige Tage vor Kursbeginn waren hilfreich. Auch auf vorherige Nachfragen reagierte der Kursanbieter. Die Organisation vor Ort verlief problemlos. Allerdings war der Raum für 16 Teilnehmer etwas klein, ließ sich nicht lüften und musste wegen der hohen Kursnachfrage( 2 Gruppen zum gleichen Zeitpunkt) im Wechsel von jeweils einer Gruppe genutzt werden. Bei uns waren es 3 Tage bis 14 Uhr am Vormittag und an 2 Tagen nur am Nachmittag bis 19Uhr genutzt werden. (Kurse bis 19 Uhr waren ermüdend) Die Kursleiterin war kompetent und ging immer auf die Fragen der Kursteilnehmer ein . Der Austausch mit den anderen Teilnehmern wurde gefördert und von allen gleichermaßen als hilfreich eingeschätzt. Die beiden geplanten und in der Kursgebühr enthaltenen Aktivitäten (Stadtführung und Besichtigung einer historischen Kulturstätte) waren gut gewählt und vermittelten einen kleinen Einblick in die Kultur und Geschichte Helsinkis. Empfehlenswerte wäre bei dieser Thematik vielleicht künftig auch die Besichtigung einer finnischen Schule. Wir waren abgesehen von den oben genannten kritischen Punkten mit dem Anbieter und der Kursleiterin zufrieden und können den Kurs weiterempfehlen.

Kurs był znakomicie przygotowany. Przed rozpoczęciem kursu otrzymałam praktyczne wskazówki dotyczące możliwości zakwaterowania, dojazdu do miejsca kursu. Od prowadzącej otrzymałam materiały wprowadzające w tematykę kursu do przeczytania, a także krótki przewodnik o Helsinkach (ciekawych miejscach do zwiedzania). W trakcie kursu otrzymywałam omawiane materiały omawiane w danym momencie, miałam zapewniony dostęp do Internetu. Prowadząca była doskonale przygotowana - osoba z dużym doświadczeniem.

Kurs był zorganizowany perfekcyjnie. Osoba prowadząca kurs, przed jego rozpoczęciem przesłała uczestnikom najistotniejsze informacje oraz praktyczne wskazówki dotyczące pobytu w Finlandii. Otrzymałam także proponowany harmonogram kursu i informacje dotyczące planowanej mojej aktywności. Prowadząca, wśród uczestników kursu wprowadziła wspaniałą atmosferę , opartą na wzajemnym szacunku i zrozumieniu. Wszystkim działaniom prowadzącej towarzyszył profesjonalizm. Po każdym, odbytym dniu otrzymywałam materiały omawiane w danym dniu. Jako uczestniczka z całą odpowiedzialnością mogę rekomendować kurs w Helsinkach jako wspaniałe, bogate w doświadczenie wydarzenie.
