Assessment and evaluation are crucial parts of the constructive alignment process. A well-designed assessment process allows our students to use the knowledge and skills they have learnt and indicate their level of mastery. Although it can seem like a complicated maze, this process can be very easy and amazing if we master some tools.
This course has been created to provide teachers with greater knowledge about assessment approaches, assessment strategies, classroom evaluation techniques that inspire them to design a set of evaluation criteria and rubrics for their own context to implement an effective evaluation project in their school. These methods will help teachers engage children with their education process and provide them with a route map on how to succeed, regardless of academic abilities or talents.
This course perfectly suits Teachers (Pre-School, Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Vocational, Adult), Administrative Staff, Teacher Trainers, Principals, and School Psychologists or Counselors.
The approach is practical and dynamic. Participants will have the opportunity to ‘learn by doing’ through a range of activities and experiences, hands-on, practical activities, role plays and other methods that will increase their own ability to implement a successful self- and peer-evaluation scheme, develop their knowledge as well as practical strategies of assessment and evaluation.
