Course Description
Many creative solutions are available nowadays to help teachers motivate their students, but sometimes it’s hard to incorporate them into lessons.
This course tackles the notion of innovation that is equally important for teachers and students. On the one hand, educators can use a selection of new methods, activities, and tools that can enhance their teaching, making topics more real and relevant. On the other hand, learners need to become more active, creative, and innovative, in order to link subjects to real-life situations, gather information through critical thinking, and solve modern-day problems.
During this course, participants will explore new design strategies and lesson plans to enhance their teaching and encourage their students to be more innovative and motivated.
The course will offer a series of practical, hands-on activities and group discussions to incorporate into teaching design-related skills, creative activities, contextual learning, role-playing, digital solutions, and thought-provoking exercises. Participants will learn how to adapt them to their specific learning goals so that they can actually use them in their classrooms.
By the end of the course, participants will have gained useful insight into different ways of expanding and updating their teaching toolbox. They will take away a variety of new lesson plans and activities that they can use in their classrooms, to make them more active, creative, and innovative.

Le cours : School Innovation : A New Mindset for Teachers and Students s’est déroulé du 26 juin au 2 juillet 2022. Il a eu lieu à Barcelone, en Espagne à Europass Academy of Creativity. Deux professeurs trainers José Antonio Torralba et Sonia Sola Gil ont bien coordonné les activités déroulées pendant 6 jours. Le cours bien structuré nous a porté dans un univers qui nous a éclairé. Le premier jour Tony a présenté le cours, la ville Barcelone avec ses objectifs touristiques, des astuces que nous ont donné envie de le parcourir du haut en bas. Le lendemain, il nous a impressionné avec une activité OUTDOOR liée à la Biodiversité, une sortie éducative dans le parc Guel et les bénéfices de l’application WIKILOC.Le mercredi, on a continué avec des activités pratiques The Lego Challange, très enrichissantes qui nous ont entraîné la créativité. Le jeudi, Sonia nous a parlé de l’ importance du Projet dans l’apprentissage. Les activités pratiques ont enrichi nos connaissances. On a continué vendredi dans le même cadre.À la fin de la journée dans une ambiance chaleureuse on a partagé nos conclusions et on a réçu les certificats. Le samedi, on a continué avec des activités culturelles: la visite de la ville et de l’Aquarium. C’était un séjour qui m’a enrichi culturellement. J’ai passé des moments mémorables accompagnée de gens merveilleux. C’était une très belle expérience.

The course I participated in provided us with efficient ways to approach the project method in teaching. We learned about innovation in teaching, which is not only based on technology, but also on how teachers can approach content as effectively, as creatively and attractively as possible for students.
