With the Gordon Method expression are generally identified some particular musical education practices aimed at the development of musicality and the ear, based on the Music Learning Theory. Elaborated by Edwin E. Gordon (USA, 1927-2015) based on more than 50 years of research and observation, Music Learning Theory, describes the processes by which human beings learn music, from birth to adulthood, hypothesizing how such learning processes take place in ways similar to those of mother tongue learning.
Thus, it assumes a central role in Music Learning Theory, the syntactic organization of the sounds that make up what is recognized as music. The meeting between the musical attitude of each individual and the experiences of listening and musical interaction, activate sensory and psychic processes, called by Gordon, as a whole, of "Audiation", which allow the knowledge and understanding, informal, sounds organized in the music syntax. The Music Learning Theory has become and continuously becomes a reference point for the development of diversified and innovative educational and teaching practices in the field of music education and also for the elaboration of various proposals in the artistic, musical and non-musical fields, and in the field of the global development of the human being.
Effective communication in these times is increasingly important as it has taken a thousand and one forms and tries to satisfy innumerable needs. Communicating is life, and those who know how to do it well will have the chance to live a life full of possibilities.
A good communicator, according to the Gordon method must possess some basic skills:
• active listening;
• the message me.
Both techniques are widely known today and used all over the world, both born after 1950 and employed in debut within business organizations. It was only in 1962 that Gordon revisited the method by adapting it to the relationship between parenting children and carrying out a series of widely attended courses that taught an entire generation of fathers and mothers to communicate with their children.
