Learn to use the web tools to find, build and share information and knowledge: Wikipedia, Google, Facebook, Youtube, Scribd, Slideshare and others!

Learning and teaching processes are changing: the pervasiveness of networking web technologies lead us to identify new methods and instructional strategies. This course will introduce the basic concepts of the training model Complex Learning and will help you to use social networks and social tools of web 2.0 to build personalized learning environments.
Before the beginning of the course a closed group on Facebook will be actived, and participants will be invited to join the group with the technical support of the organizers. educommunity will supply the following material by e-mail:
• detailed course programme;
• articles and essays about Complex Learning;
• other didactic material (presentations, resocurces, etc.)
Participants will be actively involved in guided activities experiencing the mode of communication and interaction for educational purposes on the web. During the course participants will use minimized lectures, online workshops, guided discussions and group work. At the end of each day there will be a moment of individual self-assessment, at the end of the course there will be a session for collective evaluation and peer review. The methodology adopted is that of learning comunity within the constructivist paradigm. After the course participants will have the opportunity to continue to interact in the online space of social networks used for the course activities, creating a community of practice in which share ideas, practices, solutions.
PROGRAMME

Day 1
Presentation of the course, the staff and the participants. Knowledge and complex society: innovation of learning and teaching processes and European Community guidelines. What is Complex Learning. The personal learning environment (PLE). Access to the online group space, socialization, exploration of the environment, online interaction. Guided discussion.
Day 2
Finding information in Internet: Wikipedia, Google, educational websites. Guided online activities. : How to communicate online; synchronous and asynchronous tools. Twitter for microblogging. Group work.
Day 3
Online collaboration: methods and strategies. Skype for distance teaching. Guided discussion. Educational social networks: Edmodo, Twiducate, Schoology. Online teachers communities. Guided online activities.
Day 4
The e-portfolio and Youtube. Guided online activities. The social web: Google tools. Group work.
Day 5
How to share documents and resources with the social web tools. Scribd and Slideshare. Guided online activities. Discussion and evaluation. End of the course and delivery of certificates.
