KA2 with Intellectual outputs - The topic is CyberBullying

The project emerges from the fact that nowadays cyberbullying has become a serious problem which affect children life in all the aspects. Cyberbullying is a kind of bullying that takes place using electronic devices such as cell phones, computers, and tablets through the communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites.
Parents, teachers and lawmakers are worried about cyberbullying on the kids. In this digital era, many kids are not only being bullied in the schoolyard, but also in their homes or bedrooms they can be bullied with the technology available today.
Cyberbullying is impacting many student's education. Children who are cyberbullied often suffer from symptoms such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and unhappiness. They may have trouble focusing, sleeping or making decisions. Their self-esteem may seem low and they may isolate themselves. All of these factors are not just impacting their home life but also affect their life in school. They may not speak up in class, they may drop out of extracurricular activities, and they may not ask questions due to fear which can cause the issue to worsen. Their performance in school also may drop and grades may decrease. They may even resist going to school, either by staying home, or leaving school grounds after arrival.

With this project, we aim to create a methodology to help schools raise students’ awareness of cyberbullying and prevent it by offering some solutions against it. The methodology consists of four main steps which are ‘raise awareness of cyberbullying’, ‘let them inform authorises’, ‘evaluate the case’ and ‘solve the problem’. The target groups of this project is primarily students then parents and teachers. As the core product of this project, we will offer them an online tool to denounce the case when they are cyberbullied. This system will be a dissuasive factor for the bullies.

We need three types of partners:

We need a university who will be responsible for creating the surveys and training courses.

We need an organisation which is experienced in developing online tools.

We need high schools or middle schools who will be responsible for carrying out the methodology in their school.
