Experiential Learning - Teaching Outdoors
In cooperation with the Alojzij Šuštar Primary School – one of the leading primary schools in Slovenia in the field of outdoor education and experiential learning – Institute for Education Reserach and Dvelopment (InERD) offers a unique course on experiential learning aimed not only at primary school teachers, but also at secondary school teachers, headmasters, and other staff interested in new methods, techniques and approaches to teaching.
Our course can be funded by Erasmus+ staff mobility KA1 programme. Therefore, we invite you to apply for the Erasmus+ KA1 staff mobility funding to receive a grant to cover the tuition fee, accommodation, travel and other costs. If you are new in writing applications for Erasmus+ funding, InERD can help you in all application stages. If you need assistance, contact us at email@example.com.
Please note that the deadline for the application is 2 Feburary 2017.
The teacher training seminar is comprised of a wide variety of activities that many teachers will be able to benefit from. The main stress is dedicated to primary school teachers, however, all the attending teachers will be able to benefit from theoretical lectures on experiential learning, on the brain development of children and adolescents etc.
In addition, we are convinced that the seminar participants will appreciate and enjoy a wide variety of practical outdoor experiences. As we will provide lectures and workshops on outdoor education, we cannot limit ourselves to the confinement of our classrooms. Exploring Ljubljana with its surroundings as well as some of Slovenia’s most precious marbles will be without a doubt a cherished memory for everyone that will decide to stay with us.
We will begin a typical day with a more theoretical lecture that will be followed by practical workshops (team building, problem-solving activities, role playing) and outdoor activities.
Our team headed by Ela Rupert, Dragica Radojevič and Klemen Banko will try our very best to accommodate your personal needs and requirements and we will be in contact with all the participants prior to the seminar to prepare eventual personalised experiences. Some parts of the seminar can be, therefore, changed, replaced or prepared divergently depending on the expectations of our participants.

We are looking forward to meeting you in person!
