The “Green Skills for education” course is based on the results of the Leonardo da Vinci project “Fit for future with green skills” (
The educational material and processes provide basic knowledge about waste management, energy management and sustainability and practical activities to be implemented in everyday life. The material has been created and tested by 5 organisations in 5 European countries and is based on the Ecoprofit Assistant Model ( to provide a training course for a basic level of environmental manager.
The course is based on a a training path for teachers in 3 main areas (waste management, Energy management and sustainability) in order to provide information, contents and processes to implement in educational contexts. The participants will acquire skills to raise awareness on ecological and environmental issues that are affecting people’s personal as well as professional environment. It is important to understand why it is so important that we look after our environment and most of all how we can do that.
The course combines also a practical toolkit of interventions to reduce one's ecological footprint that can be integrated into private or professional fields.
