INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR ALL

Inclusive education is a modern educational approach whose main objective is to ensure equal access for all pupils to the educational good and to overcome the structural obstacles and stereotypes of the system that make it unable to respond to the heterogeneity of the needs of the students. Inclusive education values diversity and the unique contributions each student brings to the classroom. In a truly inclusive setting, every child feels safe and has a sense of belonging. Students and their parents participate in setting learning goals and take part in decisions that affect them and school staff have the training, support, flexibility, and resources to nurture, encourage, and respond to the needs of all students.
Inclusive education is based on the values of equality, social justice and the acceptance of diversity and equal opportunities in education. It involves all pupils, including pupils with disabilities and/or special educational needs or disabilities (SEN or SEN(D)) students, as well as disadvantaged pupils from vulnerable social groups (refugees, Roma and etc).
Purpose
This course intends to contribute to inclusive education. It aims to help teachers to adopt the principles and approaches of inclusive education and to be able to respond to the heterogeneity of the student population, equipping them with the way of organizing the learning process and motivating students to self-action, experimentation and active learning. At the end of the course participants will be equipped with a number of innovative approaches such as differentiated teaching, the basic principles and techniques of active and experiential learning and collaborative teaching, the exploitation of the potential offered by new technologies, arts and multimodal means so they will have the chance to enrich their teaching potential and be able to response to the needs and interests of ALL students.

I found the lessons too basic and easy. I feel I didn't learn anything new to add to my own work. However, some of the lessons which were held outside in a functional way (group work outside, excercised where we used drama and play were awesome!) we absolutely great. Also the best part of the course was the discussions with collagues all over Europe and hearing from their schools and work.

Very good ambience, hospitality of the hosts. I refreshed some knowledge and repeated some things. It was interesting for a personal and professional development to participate in the workshops of art therapy.

The theme of the course I attended was about inclusive learning. I appreciated a lot the exchange of class experience and of good practices between the participants from different European countries. This was a good way of learning how to take action in different class situations. The trainers were very open to the trainees' needs and they tried to find answers and solutions for all the educational questions and problems the participants asked and had in class.

The course was organized very efficiently, if I refer to the endowment and organization of the space, conducive to the interaction of participants, alternating types of activities. I would also like to appreciate the performance of the trainers, the quality and diversity of the materials presented. We found out about the way in which students with special educational needs are integrated in the states listed above, about the specifics of the psychoeducational activity and intervention, noting that there are many common aspects when we refer mainly to: their identification and evaluation, curricular adaptation, personalized intervention, skills and training of teachers, materials used.

Počas jedného termínu prebiehali v danej vzdelávacej inštitúcii kurzy rôzneho zamerania. Na začiatku bolo spoločné stretnutie a prezentácia každého účastníka a rozdelenie podľa zamerania kurzov. Už to nebolo dobre zvládnuté.
