Summary
Six thinking hats is a thinking skills training course from Edward de Bono which teaches parallel thinking as an alternative to argument. Six thinking hats helps put our opinions and egos aside so we can focus on a way forward, without argument. Participants learn how to separate emotion from facts, the positive from the negative and critical thinking from creative thinking

Objectives
The main objective of the course is to prepare participants to professionally lead creative and constructive thinking sessions in schools or their organisations. By the end of the course participants will have a substantial understanding of creative and constructive thinking framework and models (following dr. Edward de Bono’s methodology).

Agenda

Day 1
- Introductory meeting, explanation of practical arrangements, presentation of timetable, information about course venue.
- The theory behind Six Thinking Hats.
- Icebreakers, Introduction to the Course
- White hat: calls for information known or needed
- Red hat: being allowed to express intuition and feelings

Day 2
- Black hat: stands for risks and problems. It refers to thinking that does not go with facts, experiences, rules, standards, etc
- Yellow hat: the symbol of advantages and feasibility. It has an answer to questions such as: can it work, can it be adjusted, who is going to benefit and for how long and what is the present and future value?

Day 3
- Green hat: refers to alternatives and presents a natural way to introduce creative thinking inside your organization
- Blue hat: aims at the management of thinking

Day 4
- Setting up thinking agenda’s
- Develop your learning plan for after the training

Day 5
- A scenario of applying the six thinking hats
- How to use Six Thinking Hats both individually and in group exercises

Day 6
- Study Visits

Day 7
- Planning follow up activities, dissemination and implementation of learning outcomes
- Course Evaluation
- Certifications
