Interactive technologies and project-based learning for the future classroom

In this course the participants will learn how to carry out project-based learning (PBL) with the support of tools and methodologies that will increase and enhance the level of interaction and collaboration in the classroom. During this course we will look into how PBL can be used to develop deep content knowledge and key competences within students as well as freeware software and online tools for learning activities.

OBJECTIVES

The participants will:

  • Understand what Project-Based Learning (PBL) is
  • Learn how to implement and assess PBL in classroom
  • Discover tools and methodologies to increase interaction in the classroom.
  • Learn how to use different ICT tools to implement and support PBL
  • Discover Future Classroom ideas and its different learning zones
  • Experiment with different software to increase student collaboration.
  • Learn about eTwinning and how to start a collaborative project with European teachers.

Venue: All the courses will be held at European Schoolnet's own training venue, the Future Classroom Lab, a unique and inspiring learning environment in Brussels, that challenges visitors to rethink the role of pedagogy, technology and design in their classrooms.

Target audience: All the courses are aimed at primary and secondary teachers and ICT coordinators, enthusiastic to enhance their teaching through new ideas, tools and pedagogies. All courses will be delivered in English. During 2015-2019 this course took place as "Interactive technologies for the Future Classroom" and reviews from that period refer to this version.


Course fee: The course fee is 650€ (5-day course), including meals (5 lunches and 1 dinner). The accommodation or travel is not included, but EUN can offer advise for finding a suitable accommodation in Brussels.


Registration: The places are given on first-come, first-served basis. The courses will run if there are a minimum of 15 participants in each. Each course will be confirmed about 2,5 months before. Contact us at fcl@eun.org to book and confirm your places!

This has been the most innovative course in my life. A great use of tools such as Mentimeter, Socrative, Nearpod, Stop Motion,... Just amazing!!! I couldn´´t wait to use a few in my two eTwinning projects. And we got both Quality Labels!!!
