Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide participants with methods for an effective use of audiovisual resources in education, as well as for a successful integration of mobile devices into their teaching practice.
A clever use of audiovisual resources and educational apps helps students dig deeper into the subjects they are learning, absorb and retain ideas, as well as develop communicative, critical, social and creative skills.
The course will introduce easy techniques to manage audiovisual resources: sorting and adapting online materials (film and music clips, documentaries, news etc.); designing, shooting and editing videos; creating visual teaching resources; adding subtitles to projects; managing timelines; using mind-mapping platforms; using tools for live streaming and recording.
In addition, participants will learn how to use a variety of Apps to stimulate their students’ learning. They will acquire in-depth knowledge about: internet security and privacy issues; gathering and saving useful online resources; communicating and collaborating through electronic devices; creating virtual materials and tests; managing online groups and classrooms.
At the end of this one week course, participants will have got insights about the educational power of some of the most famous free software and devices for photo and video making. In addition, they will be able to confidently integrate a variety of apps into their lesson plans, to motivate and engage students.
