Outdoor CLIL – Environmental Education through CLIL

Participants will gain
• general team building and team working skills
• insights into well-grounded CLIL practice
• strategies to adapt CLIL methodologies in own practice
• insights into the inter-dependency of cognition, language and physical fitness
This longstanding CLIL course provides participants with a substantial toolkit of high-impact practical strategies that support student learning in CLIL contexts. These practices are rooted in research evidence about what has been proven to work in education in general and in CLIL contexts. The course uses highly interactive methods modelling best practices in CLIL. In addition, it gives participants an opportunity to reflect on and discuss ways of enhancing their own practices. The course is taught by two people with hands-on experience in CLIL and CLIL professional development. The primary course facilitator is the lead author of an award-winning book on CLIL, and is currently writing a new book on CLIL for Cambridge University Press.
