CLIL and Environmental Sustainability

Rating: 0/5

This CLIL course is for primary and secondary school teachers who teach subject matter through English. The course is for practising teachers familiar with CLIL who wish to refresh, as well as teachers who are new to CLIL. It could be useful, for example, for teachers who work, or would want to work, in a bilingual school and teach subjects like history, economics or science.

The course explores and promotes awareness of the different principles and techniques that are embedded in a CLIL syllabus, and gives a deeper insight into how to further exploit your subject materials. These methodological sessions are enhanced by practical sessions that focus on analysing and discussing a series of Sustainable Development CLIL lessons. These lessons aim to help learners develop an active voice in the area of environmental sustainability, and will be available for participants to take home and adapt to the needs of your students.

In line with the Erasmus quality standards, the course supports all participating organisations in incorporating the use of digital tools and green practices to improve the quality and sustainability of your learning and teaching. The course also includes an extensive cultural and social programme in which you are encouraged to develop your language skills in a more informal environment outside the classroom and further enhance your knowledge of Dublin and Ireland.

Additional dates are available for closed groups.
