Course Description

Teaching can be one of the most beautiful, but also the most challenging professions. As recent research has shown, teachers actually experience more stress than most other workers. At the same time, students also often report the negative impact of stress on their mood, behavior, and academic performance. But is there anything that educators can do to manage stress and prevent its drawbacks?

This course has been designed precisely to provide teachers with effective tools and strategies to deal with their own and their students’ stress. Through practical, hands-on activities, participants will learn how to foster their own well-being, and maintain a favorable climate in their classroom.

The course presents the most recent scientific evidence about the benefits of stress-reduction programs, especially in school environments. Participants will be introduced to the effects of stress and anxiety on learning, and how to help pupils to prevent and manage stress. The course will hence provide a direct experience of the most useful relaxation techniques to be used in the classroom and beyond. Participants will also have the opportunity to focus on emotional intelligence and emotional regulation as a powerful skill to cope with stress.

By the end of the course, participants will have gained knowledge about the most effective ways to deal with stress, and they will be able to apply research-based strategies in their school community.

Toller Kursanbieter, bereits der zweite Kurs bei diesem Anbieter, der mich begeistert hat Resilience and Well-Being In diesem Kurs haben wir gemeinsam erörtert, wie wichtig es ist, dass Lehrerinnen und Lehrer ihre Resilienz stärken, verstehen und Verantwortung dafür übernehmen, damit sie ihren Weg zu einem höheren und stabileren Wohlbefinden finden. Durch die Erkundung von Strategien wie Emotionsmanagement, eine positive Denkweise, die Änderung des inneren Narrativs und den Aufbau von Empathie und Mitgefühl haben wir als Teilnehmer*innen entdeckt, wie wir unsere Resilienz wieder aufbauen und unser Leben angenehmer und handhabbarer gestalten können. Durch die Identifizierung und Analyse der Stärken, die für das Erreichen von Wohlbefinden und resilientem Verhalten notwendig sind, haben wir gemeinsam Wege gefunden, um emotionale Höhen und Tiefen auf eine Weise zu bewältigen, die die geistige, emotionale und körperliche Gesundheit fördert.

We learned about modern strategies for managing stress and how to manage our own emotions and the emotions of the class. We gained skills in chair yoga, breathing techniques, art therapy and practicing gratitude. It was very interesting course and we had very good teacher Martha Mandollini. It was useful that we practiced all the techniques. What we learned immediately found application in our work.
