Video Making For Teachers - 5 Days Course on Azores
This course is for all those who want to improve their digital competences and learn how they can use technology to enhance learning. The course will focus on theoretical background and practical use of video making as well as the opportunities for creating teaching and learning resources through media production and video editing actions. A strong focus will be on a systematic curation of content and form through building narratives. Participants are expected to have at least B1 level of English proficiency. In my opinion the course lacked in contents, these not being developed as I expected regarding the program. The first day was only a general presentation for all the courses held during the week in the same venue, so out of the topic. The training program consisted in two lessons about the theoretical aspects shown in videos / power point and some instructions to use an App not more difficult than Instagram as well as the creation of two basic videos. In addition, during part of the training hours (last day) the group was unattended and had to work on its own. Besides, the welcome and informations about the place and daily life given by the staff on the venue were correct, even though some of them were not too "polite" with some of the participants (not with me).
