Future Learning is a leading project-based, technology-enhanced English language school with headquarters in Dublin and second centre in the traditional Irish midlands town of Athlone, Ireland. The school offers an innovative and exciting way to learn English and explore Ireland, and is lead by staff with many years of experience in the English language sector.
This 2 week course takes place in Future Learning's Athlone centre.

Course Introduction:
This course is a fully accredited Trinity College London Level 6 qualification that supports the professional development of English language teachers. It draws upon qualified TESOL teachers’ existing knowledge to explore what it takes to put project- based learning into practice and gain an understanding of the concepts behind it. It promotes the skills and techniques needed to develop and use technology effectively as a resource in teaching and learning.
The course is based on the same approach which Future Learning has pioneered across courses and the training is informed by our experience of making it work in practice.
Learner Profile:
Primary and Secondary Teachers seeking to update, improve and enrich their professional teaching practice specialising in technology enhanced, project-based learning methodology
Learner Outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will have
1) planned, organised and managed effective project-based activities
used technology with confidence and purpose in the classroom;
2) written meaningful lesson objectives and outcomes and plan towards them;
3) made good use of technological tools to incorporate assessment for learning in project-based lessons.
The course is delivered through the medium of English, which gives participants an opportunity to refresh and improve their communication skills in an authentic workplace environment. C1 Advanced Level of English is recommended for this course, B2 accepted (depending on assessment task. Participants must also provide teaching qualifications and complete an assessment task.
It is recommended to bring your own device- mobile, tablet, laptop (some laptops are available at Future Learning for group work).
This course is two weeks in duration with 30 hours of classroom based activities along with 70 additional hours required for assignment work, total 100 hours guided learning.
