Rating: 0/5

Are you tired of using the same old methods in your language classroom? Would you like to spice up your teaching methods and learn new ways to activate your students?

This seven-day course is aimed at teachers of foreign languages, class teachers and other professionals who would like to learn how to use a variety of efficient methods in a language classroom, as well as inspire their students to study a foreign language in a fun way. You will also get familiar with different software and online tools and learn to make your classroom more interactive with technology.
During the course you will learn how to:
-use communicative teaching methods
-study texts in different ways with your students
-use cooperative learning
-teach vocabulary
-teach grammar in an effective way
-use digital tools
-teach with games
-motivate and encourage students in a positive atmosphere

Innovative teaching methods allow for more active learning, collaboration and interaction with your students, and will enhance your students’ motivation towards language learning. This course will also provide you with hands-on, practical ways to use free online programmes and tools in your lessons. During this course you will discuss and exchange ideas with other course participants in a multicultural environment and network with teachers and staff members working in the field of education in Europe. And you have a chance to visit a foreign language classroom in a Finnish school and participate in a lesson there (not during the summer holiday June-early August).
The language of instruction is English. All teaching, exercise and practical material are provided in English. French or Spanish available if more than six participants request that.
