PURPOSE OF THE PRACTICES:
The purpose of foreign practices for the profession of mechatronics & IT techniques is to acquire skills in the construction, operation of computer networks. The skills acquired in the workplace will enable the student to better prepare for practical classes related to the operation of industrial networks, the use of PLCs in industry and will expand the knowledge and skills acquired in the school, which will ensure complementary vocational education. The skills acquired during the apprenticeships will also allow to gain valuable professional experience at work, develop the right habits of an employee working with IT devices, use of measuring tools and instruments, and knowledge in the field of health and safety.
Computer networking practices develop key skills and in line with the priorities for developing students' digital competences.
The aim of the apprenticeships is also to prepare students for life in the modern world, to perform professional work and to actively operate in a changing labour market.
The English language, in particular the professional language to be used by pupils in communication at the workplace, will allow for the student's subsequent professional mobility.

Construction and types of computer networks; includes: m.in:
− IPv4 addresses.
− IPv4 address types.
− IPv4 subnet mask.
− Variable Length Subnet Masking.
− Network, host, and broadcast address.
− Division of IPv4 networks into subnets.
− Group communication addresses.
− Public and private IPv4 addresses.
− Special IPv4 addresses.
− IPv6 addresses.
− How to write the Address IPv6 address of the IPv6 unicast type.
Configuration of computer networks; of which:
- Global IPv4 address configuration.
− Division of IPv4 networks into subnets.
− Coexistence of IPv4 and IPv6
- Configuration of ROUTERS and other network devices
- Unit 3:
Construction, maintenance and diagnostics of computer networks;
Measurements of the local computer network.
− Network traffic monitoring tools
− Stages of modernization of the computer network.
− Computer network failures.
− Methods for finding failures of the local computer network.
− Connecting the LAN to the Internet using available technologies.
At the workplace there is a selected element necessary for the construction, configuration and diagnostics of the computer network Then do the work related to the preparation of wires (earning RJ-45 tips), configure the router and computers. Present the result of your work to the mentor. The summary of the work done will be an assessment by the mentor.
