Motivation and personal development with outdoor activities - Tenerife

Personal development is an ongoing process of self-improvement across all fields of life: work, school, or home. This course is targeted at personal development and self-motivation both in professional and personal life.
At the course, we will explore the nature of motivation, as well as self-motivation techniques e.g. goal-setting, time management, mindfulness, combining those with positive thinking, the creation of powerful visions of success, and the building of high levels of self-efficacy and self-confidence.
As a result, you will better know yourself, your needs and values, strengths and weaknesses, develop emotional intelligence, improve soft and communication skills, and increase productivity.
The acquired tools and techniques can be further implemented at work with children or colleagues to create healthy routines and build trustful relationships.
This course combines the classroom theory in the morning and practical modules in beautiful outdoor places in the afternoon.

Detailed program of the 1 week training period:
The classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday from 9 AM till 3 PM. This means that you will still have a lot of time to discover Tenerife after our intensive training.

- “What is motivation?” Definition and types
- Factors in self-motivation
- Increasing self-confidence
- Personal SWOT analysis (analysing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
- Outdoor activity: practicing self-regulation techniques
Tuesday
- Theories of motivation: Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Alderfer's ERG Theory, McGregor's - ----- Theory X and Theory Y
- Tactics for self-motivation
- Building a motivating environment
- Exploring Mindfulness
- Outdoor activity: mindful walking through Puerto de la Cruz.
Wednesday
- Personal goal setting
- Mastering time management
- Importance of saying “no”
- Conflict resolution skills
- Outdoor activity: healthy picnic and discussion on inspirational examples of good motivation
Thursday
- Developing positive thinking
- Affirmation and Visualization
- Emotional Intelligence
- “Exploring You” exercise
- Creativity workshop: to be determined
Friday
- Outdoor activity: Pilates on the beach – a workout for body and mind
- Personal mission statement

Koolituse teemaks oli: Motivation and Personal Development & Outdoor Activities and Creativity Workshop. Koolituse korraldajaks oli organisatsioon Fu International Academy Tenerife. Akadeemia töötajad olid väga sõbralikud ning abivalmid. Koolitus oli väga huvitav ning täitis minu ootused. Koolitaja Olga Keliy oli väga kaasahaarav ning professionaalne. Tal olid põhjalikud teadmised motivatsiooni olemuse kohta ning ta korraldas erinevat tüüpi rühmatöid. Rümatööde käigus oli hea praktiseerida ka enda inglise keele oskust. Koolitusel anti põhjalik teoreetiline ülevaade motivatsioonist ning seda teemat ilmestasid hästi koolitaja ning osalejate isiklikud kogemused. Kõige enam meeldisid mulle praktilised ülesanded, mille kaudu õppisime erinevad tehnikaid, kuidas motiveerida ennast ning ka teisi. Koolituse viimasel päeval toimus rannas pilates, mille puhul oli kõige olulisem õige hingamine. Hea oli see, et pilatese käigus keskenduti hingamisharjutustele, mida saab kergelt ka igapäeva elus rakendada ning seeläbi olla rohkem hetkes, keskenduda käesolevale. Antud koolitusel saadud teadmised toetavad kindlasti minu hakkama saamist nii tööelus kui ka isiklikus elus. Kindlasti aitavad saadud teadmised, oskused vältida läpipõlemist, mis on õpetaja töö puhul eriti oluline. Järgnevalt toon välja koolituselt saadud kõige tähtsamad oskused, mida hakkan teadlikult enda puhul rakendama: kuidas paremini planeerida enda aega, kuidas panna kohustused tähtsuse järjekorda, kuidas ennast paremini motiveerida (see võib olla seotud ka välimise motivatsiooniga), kuidas õigesti hingata, kuidas öelda ei põhjendatult ning süütundeta, kuidas koostada nimekiri enda saavutustest.
