MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION: WELL-BEING AT SCHOOL AND LIFE course is aimed for teachers and school staff from pre-school level to primary, secondary, vocational, adult and special needs education, staff of non-government organizations, government and policy makers and company staff. The course is focused on dynamic and practical contents of Mindfulness and Meditation. The Mindfulness course will introduce the technique of Mindfulness and the practice of Meditation. Besides, you’ll receive some indications and different sessions of Yoga, so you can get the peace of mind you’re looking for. Non-native English trainers expect participants to have at least B1 level of English proficiency.

Participants will increase their efficiency and effectiveness in productive performance within the workplace and personally, through learning the technique of Meditation. Applied correctly in the school environment, Meditation technique will allow us to achieve greater SOCIAL EQUALITY, AVOID AND PREVENT CONFLICTS and achieve a better resolution of these. Its use will involve directing learning towards greater CREATIVITY, which will improve educational INNOVATION and achieve better EMPLOYABILITY for students as well. On the other hand, it will create a BETTER ENVIRONMENT in the school, having a positive impact on the whole school community, increasing their MOTIVATION towards studies and improving the abilities of the students.

The technique of meditation has a very positive impact in intellectual activity and, on the other hand, in a development of personality, intelligence, SELF-CONFIDENCE, greater tolerance and control in the face of stress situations, and in an increase in personal satisfaction and self-esteem.

The Mindfulness course is based on the basic theoretical part and fundamentally a practical part where to carry out and deepen on what is explained. During the whole week, the course will focus on working in three main fields of action: self-awareness and emotions management, empathy and values in school relations and achievement motivation. The course will focus as well in avoiding, thanks to a mentally clear and emotionally calm state, nowadays problems at school such as school violence and bullying, lack of values, lack of motivation and assertiveness, inability to set goals, frustration and emotional distress that affects mood, social behaviour and learning. Positive coexistence is basic in school, so each day of the course will work in that way, deepening in meditation and emotional education.

Our experienced trainer will support and stimulate the networking and cooperation among participants. We organize networking and cultural activities in order to give participants the opportunity to exchange best-practices and establish professional cooperation and links. These activities will take part not only participants of the course but also other participants from different courses attended by the company. The expected training activity has been structured so that the participants can transfer know-how and develop needed skills to create and manage a proposal with real success.

The course will provide the participants an attendance certificate including the detailed information about the course, e.g. title, programme and schedule. In addition, a Europass Mobility Certificate can be added on request.

Mindfulness course itself was wonderful experience. Our trainer, Maria, was excelent by her experience, expertise, approach, attitudes and kindness. She provided us wonderful on-site, openminded experience and gave us a lot of on-line tools, resourses and presentations. Organisation, on the other side, lacked some essentials. We didn't get any local info about transport and possibilities for free time by organiser neither in advance nor during the course. Free city tour at the beginning was canceled because "guide got covid" and there wasn't offered any other guide or replacement of cultural activity. We got some local info from the guest lecturess, 5th day of the course. Martinique is very expensive island (taxi from airport is 60+€), and organiser didn't put any effort to get some discount at the hotel or for the optional trips (and we were 30+ people gathered together in 4 courses by the same organisator in the same time). Organiser provided free fortress tour at the end, and visit to eco garden, when majority of the participants wasn't able to participate due to departure schedules. Optional local boat trip with cultural and traditional content was also canceled due to problems (with transport) how to reach the starting point. Even thouh we all together had WhApp group where info/schedule were daily annouced, schedule itself still suffered by a lot of changes in last minutes or/and missed complete information. Participants were expected to reach optional trip/culture experience meeting point alone. Mayority of the people were in private accomodation (because of the prices in the hotels) and we didn't properly meet each others except on the first day. Everything was on us. Even on optional social dinner only minority of participants appeared because of the price of the dinner. Coffee break wasn't time for gathering as price of the simple coffee was 4 euro. There wasn't provided kettle to make free tea or coffee. So organisation suffered from basic welcome feeling
