A good start for all: sustaining transitions across the early years

The Erasmus+ project START aims at improving practices for supporting children and families facing the transitions across educational contexts, e.g., from home environment, or Roma community to formal settings.

Sustaining continuity of experiences over time can significantly improve children’s educational achievement and socio-emotional development. In this final report, practitioners and researchers from Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, and UK discuss the challenges of the lack of well thought out transitional practices on children and families, how this problem can be addressed and what the implications are for policies and practices in the EU and its Member States.
