Mas Clariana School interested in joining a project on forthcoming KA229 call
We are Mas Clariana school, located in Cambrils, a town on the coast of the province of
Tarragona, in the south of Catalonia. Our school is located in a privileged and peaceful singlefamily dwellings neighborhood surrounded of parks and very close to the Mediterranean sea.
We are 28 teachers and 434 students at our school. We offer free education to our students
which are aged between 3 and 12 years old.
Since 6 years ago, our school was made part of a group of schools which work with an
innovative educational method called “Amara Berri”, an inclusive system whose main objective
is the development of competencies and stimulating our pupils into playing an active learning
role. We work hard to promote their autonomy and research skills, inviting them to
experiment, fostering meaningful learning and emphasizing dimensions and skills development
such as learning to learn, developing a critical spirit and the use of new technologies.
We are ready to develop innovative activities, e-twinning actions and to participate in projects
including mobility for students from 10 to 12 years old.
We can act as lighthouse school regarding innovative educational models and/or exchange and
develop innovative practices in any of these priorities:
● Common values, civic engagement and participation
● Environmental and climate goals
● Social and educational value of European cultural heritage, its contribution to job creation,
economic growth and social cohesion
● Increasing the levels of achievement and interest in science, technology, engineering, and
