Environmental Project

Protection of Natural Heritage

Fauna and Flora of Natural Reserves in the region. We live in Carpathians, Vihorlat Mountains, Poloniny.

Our region exuberates in natural richness. It provides great opportunity to study fauna and flora. We live in the beautiful landscape. There are Natural Reserves - Carpathians, Poloniny, Vihorlat Mountains nearby. We have a lot to explore. We want to prepare the project so the students indulge in the nature. They can make little research on fauna and flora, sustainable nature, water sourcers, forest protection. It ccould be interesting to have partners from countries of nice nature. Thus we can concentrate on the place where we live and how to protect it.
The nature preservation through the eyes of the children. The children will prepare the presentations, drawings, recycle handcrafts. We go on excursions visits at water treatment plant etc.

Each partner collects information about Natural Heritage in their region. The students makes a little research about Protected areas in their region - fauna, flora, water sources. The students can make excursions to water plants, to office of forrestry, water treatment plants, farms, etc. In this way students expand the knowledge about nature protection and we educate them to respect the natural resources.

We are a group of teachers from a school (PIC949152858) in Castilla la Mancha, Spain, interested in taking part in an Erasmus+ KA-219 project. We find your proposal very appealing and would like to join you in your project. We offer a group of highly motivated teachers and enthusiastic students eager to engage in an enriching exchange of experiences with schools all over Europe. Our school offers a wide educational program to a total of 1.400 students, from Compulsory Secondary Education (7th grade) to Higher Vocational Studies. The school is located in Alcázar de San Juan, a town of about 30,000 inhabitants, which offers a complete range of services (transportation, health, cultural and leisure). You can enjoy typical and modern gastronomy in a variety of restaurants, go shopping in our commercial area or visit museums and other historical landmarks. In fact, our town is considered “the heart of La Mancha”, which will allow you to visit the locations where the famous novel Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes takes place, such as the windmills. In addition, our rich natural environment offers the opportunity to practise different activities in our breathtaking wetlands, which have been declared Natural Biosphere Reserve due to their high environmental value. In addition to this, Alcazar is strategically situated near Madrid, the capital of our country, and other historical cities like Toledo or Cuenca. erasmus@iesjuanbosco.es http://www.iesjuabosco.es
