Teaching assistants in secondary schools in Akershus, Norway
Akershus County Council offer assistantships in a secondary school for newly graduates or students within the action Erasmus + placement. We own 34 upper secondary schools in the region of Akershus near Oslo. The schools vary in size from around 300 – 1200 pupils. Akershus County Council will connect potential assistants with schools that wish to host an assistant.
We seek assistants that are either students or newly graduated students within the fields of: Teaching, communication, languages, humanities or other relevant degree
We are especially interested in teachers who can teach Spanish, French or German.
Activities and tasks:
- Assistance to teachers in the preparation of the courses, the teaching and the evaluation of the students.
- Diverse administrative tasks linked to teaching in upper secondary school.
- Job shadowing
- Tasks will be according to the assistants knowledge and interests
The duration of the assistantship can be from 4 - 10 months.
This is a non-paid traineeship for studients/newly graduated students who has an Erasmus + grant from their home university
Housing is freely provided. Akershus county council have two rented houses for students to share with other students/apprentices.
Norwegian language course before or during the start of the assistantship is provided free of charge.
