Job Shadowing placement at schools or business 5-DAY

At Alpha School we offer job shadowing placements in one or more of the following departments: Academic, Administration and Accommodation / Welfare. We also organise job shadowing for other schools (secondary and primary) and educational institutions in Malta.

Job shadowing describes a type of work experience where participants learn about an occupational area of interest by following a competent worker closely in their day-to-day tasks. Participants of this work-based course basically act as a shadow to a number of key workers across a few organisations, learning the daily practices of the company as well as improving their English skills in real-life situations along the way.

Alpha School can also offer formal English lessons to people involved in the Job Shadowing placement if they wish to immerse themselves further in their language development.

The sample programme below describes a one week job shadowing placement in Alpha School’s various departments as well as two familiarisation visits to other schools where participants will have the opportunity to meet school staff.

Job Shadowing placements are for a minimum of one week to a maximum of two months. Teachers who select a job shadowing placement longer than two weeks will be encouraged to take an active role in the classroom where they will be paired with a senior Alpha School teacher at all times.

We are going to apply for a new Erasmus+ KA1 job shadowing. we are looking for new opportunities of improving our methods. We are looking for a hosting school to spend a week doing job shadowing activities in this field. I am a 43 years old dynamic teacher always willing to introduce innovations in teaching. I have been teaching for 25 years now and I have experience in job shadowing with a school in Rome, Italy. I believe that such an experience would be beneficial to both sides. We are highly interested in cooperating with your schools. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Looking forward to any offers or messages!
