Teacher Academy expands its offer for 2021

This year, the Teacher Academy returns with a diverse catalogue of free professional development opportunities, tackling over 20 different educational topics.

In 2021, the Teacher Academy online course catalogue will be enriched with four new and updated MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). Their topics reflect some of the European Commission’s educational priorities and include:

  • Blended learning in March
  • Language learning in September
  • Building a school digital strategy in October
  • Climate change in November

Subscribe to the Teacher Academy course announcements to make certain you don’t miss any of these!

Naturally, the Teacher Academy offer does not end there: in case you prefer more compact learning experiences, we are launching some new formats. Fifteen new short online courses – some open and some targeted towards teachers in eTwinning – are currently in planning and will be released throughout the year.

Of course, we are also continuing with our offer of webinars, with more than 20 already planned for this year. Here are some of the general themes we will be covering with our webinars and short online courses:

  • Curriculum redesign in January
  • Tackling bullying in February
  • Blended learning in March
  • Non-formal learning in April
  • Traveller education in May
  • Whole-school communities in June
  • Identity and language learning in September
  • Tackling disinformation in October
  • Climate change and young citizens in November
  • Career guidance in December

Sign up for the webinar mailing list for the latest updates!

Finally, 12 new teaching materials will join the current repository, including a few sets of curated lesson plans from the latest Teacher Academy MOOCs.

Keep an eye out for the eTwinning portal’s own set of professional development opportunities for 2021, which are soon to be announced!
