It’s the middle of June 2018 in Austria and the academic year is coming to an end. Schools and cultural institutions in many towns and cities are currently holding the final presentations of their cultural education projects.
A cicerone is a guide who informs sightseers about a cultural resource – and that is just what students become in the award-winning programme Apprendisti Ciceroni. The programme aims to make students into active citizens, and to put them in touch with their cultural heritage. But does it work, and how? Our third interview at the Education Summit was with Cristina Marchini, Head of School and Education Department at Fondo Ambiente Italiano, which launched the programme.
