Looking for reliable partners for a KA2 Project in 3D and Robotics
The goal of this project is to develop an educational framework and demonstrate how to use robotics in Sciences, Technology & Cultural Education in all the stages of the instructional process.
The present project aims to demonstrate that new technologies can be used in all educational domains (including the culture field - literature, history, art and music) not only in the STEM traditional subjects and with students of all ages. Educational robotics means the creation of a learning environment in which the people involved (students monitored by trainers ) are motivated to learn programming, then designing and constructing robots (objects that have characteristics similar to those of human or animal life) and then, thirdly, they will learn subject-oriented contents by using these robots, activated through programming and technology. Through this educational approach the students will accomplish cognitive learning tasks beyond their reach otherwise.
The project will develop an educational methodology centered on the programmable robots, as creative and multidisciplinary tools for teaching/learning programming, construction of robots and learning of specific content. This will reshape the learning process, which will turn to an active process of knowledge construction based on experiences gained from the real world and linked to personal, unique pre-knowledge. With creative projects involving the robotic systems, the students will be engaged in creative communication, group work and problem solving. Working on robots is highly stimulating for the students, allowing them to acquire important skills that will help them during their school years and beyond (familiarization with what a scientific approach is like, and will encourage the students to develop problem solving skills, creativity, and team spirit). This approach will expose children to tools that belong to the future and equip them with the courage to believe that they can create the future together.
The project also aims to help prevent school failure and decrease school dropout and increase the involvement and motivation of girls for robotic discipline.
The project will design and develop a robotic muldisciplinary educational framework for primary, and secondary school levels.
